Goal

The students just love to have their work on display! However, there are a few drawbacks when it comes to achieving that goal for them. Our school has a limited amount and type of wall space available. Not to mention the continuous damage the walls endured throughout the school year from all the displays. Time is also taken into consideration when putting up work or how long it will stay up. That is why it would be such a fantastic opportunity if we were able to get a Freestanding Portable Partition that can be easily moved around, folded up for storage, and of course the main feature, display even more of our wonderful young artists’ masterpieces!  

 

What will be done with my students

This permanently integrated item would be used for various reasons. For example, this would be used during an after-school event. Specifically, when we have a special concert/talent show/etc., this could be closer to the audience members for their viewing. Families get to walk through one singular hallway when they head towards our stage area, however that is uninterrupted traffic for the most part as they rush to find seating. Nevertheless, if we were able to have this freestanding partition, families would be more drawn to walk around it and take their time to look at the artwork.  

 

Benefits to my students

Here at EPE, we are a Leader In Me school. We pride ourselves in the independence and responsibility that the students have. Although they are still learning to gain more self-sufficiency, they are still a young group of students that continue to need guidance and supervision. Having this portable display will give them the opportunity to make the displays themselves while in my classroom with me. Once they finish organizing students’ artwork and creating a student curated exhibit, I will be able to move the display anywhere in the school! This is something they can take so much pride in. I teach over 600 students, ranging from kindergarten to 5th grade. All students would be able to benefit from this. Other teachers and staff members would surely be able to use this item as well. It could be used to show off science projects, become a ginormous & interactive timeline for any subjects, or show off our 5th grade entrepreneurs.
