Goal

To bring outdoor Agriculture, indoors and into the classroom for a more inclusive Ag. class. A growing program that would include such technology would attract more students due to its use indoors.  

 

What will be done with my students

A good portion of our students are unable to participate in outdoor growing activities and many others cannot be out for extended periods of time, no matter what the season. Indoor growing possibilities provide opportunities to grow plants in a secure, safe environment and give all students the ability to experience the skill of planting from seeds, grafting or growing root cuttings, and we able to observe progress of the plants growth and development. For those students who need constant reinforcement, the windows of such a n indoor planting/growth planter would provide these kids with constant feedback as to the progress. The other advantage of this program would be the ability to extend our growing periods to year round and able able to grow plants during the hot summer months of summer school etc. 

 

Benefits to my students

Giving more students to participate with hands on practice and observation, extended growth time year round and providing more successes for the students who are hesitant to try new things. 

 

Budget Narrative

Price includes all parts and materials for indoor grow tent ...the all inclusive kit. Price fluctuations going up and down so in case local is available we rounded up the cost
