Goal
Our goal is to meet the needs of our learners through the use of online practice in math, science, and career exploration in STEM.
What will be done with my students
Using the online platform, Legends of Learning, students who are fast finishers, or students who have completed all of their work for the week on time, will be given access to practice in Legends of Learning. They love using this platform because it allows them to practice what they are learning in math and science, while playing an engaging game. With a plethora of math and science games online that are aligned to our standards, students can get extra practice as needed in a certain area and have fun while doing it.
Benefits to my students
This platform has over 2,000 math and science lessons that can be shared with our students. Additionally, there are options for career exploration in the fields of STEM and technical careers. Extra practice in the areas of math and science, especially where students are struggling, will help them gain proficiency by the end of the school year. This platform is highly engaging for students and when they are engaged, they learn more! This grant will benefit 42+ students as it works for all students enrolled in Mrs. Colbert's and Mrs. Wildonger's homeroom classes.
