Goal
Communication is everything! My goal is to help my students improve their speech skills by using the Kaufman kits to teach them how to develop consonant and vowel combinations in order to form words. This evidence based approach will help my students improve their overall intelligibility and become effective communicators with their friends and teachers at school.
What will be done with my students
My students will be taught how to combine consonant, vowel, and syllable shapes in order to form words. My students will follow the hierarchy of the kit and continue to achieve success with forming new words to add to their vocabulary. This will lead my students to begin to combine words together into phrases and sentences. I want my students to feel confident as they share their wants and ideas with their friends and teachers at school!
Benefits to my students
Using this approach will give my students the opportunity to learn how to combine sounds to form words, increase their vocabulary, and improve their overall communication abilities at school!
