Goal
Our students will enjoy this stretchy band for several music and movement activities. Examples (crescendo and decrescendo, moving to musical forms in music, helping our younger students create a circle during dances, and much more!)
What will be done with my students
We will explore crescendo and decrescendo moving in out and out with the stretchy band. We will use the band to move to musical forms, and also to help our younger students keep a circular shape during dances.
Benefits to my students
Our students will be able to use large motor skills while moving to music and feeling the steady beat as we bounce or walk round the circle holding the band. They will be able to visualize the up and down musical pitches as we lift and lower the band. Students will enjoy the novelty of using the stretchy band and their attention will be captured allowing them to fully retain the lesson content at hand.
