Goal
Students will learn the method of mosaic creation. Students will balance color, size and shape to create a mosaic planter that has aesthetic value.
What will be done with my students
Students will have a better understanding of the meaning of functioning art as the planter will be used to start a seedling. The use of hand eye coordination, decision making and pride in their planters will benefit students and stress the appreciation and importance of art in our world.
Benefits to my students
Planters will be of different size, color and arrangement according to the students choice of outcome. These planters could have many purposes but we would like the students to use them in the purpose they are meant for, such as holding a plant. ( We will plant seedlings in hopes to create a flower in their pots).
