Goal
To promote literacy and technology in my school. To give students opportunity to utilize technology in different areas.
What will be done with my students
I will facilitate a morning news program, run by 5th grade students. I will allow these students to interact with other classrooms and events on campus with updated equipment. I will foster a love and interest in technology with various equipment purchased. They will work with cameras, computers, and multiple programs.
Benefits to my students
Enrichment with technology, understanding for movie making and film, promote independence and confidence with technology.
Describe the Students
Our school has a wide range of students. Primarily the students in my news crew and Movie Making SEM group are 4th and 5th grade students, average to high performers, with some ESE students.
Budget Narrative
This will allow for more students to be involved with Newscrew and the Movie Making SEM and give confidence to these students by using new equipment.
