Goal

Having a color printer would allow 11-14-year-old marketing students to learn how to save a file to a folder properly, use Microsoft programs efficiently, save to a USB, and print dazzling marketing pages in color for our hands-on projects.

What will be done with my students

Some examples are our mini-food truck, shoe box business, and Cereal box projects.

The mini-food truck project uses card stock to build a foldable food truck and learn the ins and outs of a small business such as a food truck.

With the shoe box business, students choose an existing business and explore the target market, design thinking, Problem and solution, the 5 Ps of marketing, Small business model canvas, and empathy. Then they create a shoe box for this business. ( picture attached).

With the cereal box project, students learn how to design a new type of cereal and find their target market , learn about promotion and pricing through surveys, research, and empathizing with their customers. Then, they create a new brand of cereal using an existing cereal box and print and cover the cereal box with their new brand of cereal that includes the 5ps of marketing, a digital promotion,
Learning marketing would be so much more engaging and effective in color! We might also be able to assist with the marketing of our internal programs in our magnet programs.

Currently, the instructor brings pictures to Office Depot and prints logos et from a thumb drive at their own expense.

Benefits to my students

Learning a hands-on project critical thinking, the small business model canvas, the 5 P's of marketing, and team building skills along with communication, empathy, and research skills.

Describe the Students
