Goal
My goal is to purchase a few different seating options to allow us to maximize the space in our classroom and create an environment conducive to collaborative learning.
What will be done with my students
I frequently encourage my students to move around the room and work in a space that is comfortable for them. Unfortunately, I don't have stools so students were constantly dragging their chairs with them, resulting in wasted time and disorganization. The stools included in this project will allow us to solve that problem, encouraging students to work collaboratively anywhere in the room.
Benefits to my students
The students will be encouraged to work with others which helps build leadership skills. Allowing students to move while learning is also known to benefit students' ability to focus.
Budget Narrative
I've included 5 wobble chairs, 5 stools and 10 floor seats with lap desks to allow a variety of seating options to students that can be used around the room.
