Goal
Individual student white boards are an essential way for a teacher to quickly check student comprehension. My goal is for each student to have a white board and eraser at their desks at all times. They will be used to enhance my instruction and monitor student progress while teaching ALL subjects and standards.
What will be done with my students
With every subject and standard, a teacher needs to be able to quickly monitor student comprehension and progress. White boards are an easy and private way of monitoring. Students enjoy using them and only the teacher is able to see and read responses. This saves any embarrassment if answered incorrectly.
White boards are also a great way for students to write down and share their ideas with other students.
Benefits to my students
When using white boards, students feel confident and safe when responding to the teacher. When students work together and share their ideas, white boards help students learn from one another. They are a vital tool in every classroom.
Budget Narrative
1 pack of white boards with erasers will be purchased so each student has his/her own to use all year.
