Goal

These Sudoku white boards will be used to help my students with problem solving, thinking outside of the box and how to work with others.

What will be done with my students

The teacher will have a large Sudoku puzzle displayed each week for all to see. Students will use their Sudoku white boards to solve the puzzle. Initially, students will work together to support and guide one another. As the year progresses, their puzzle skills will as well. Sudoku puzzles will increase in difficulty and those who no longer need assistance will complete the puzzles on their own. Others may wish to work together and talk through their reasoning.

Benefits to my students

This will be a great way for students to problem solve and learn how to persevere when encountering something difficult.

Budget Narrative

I will have 24 math students so each will have his/her own board. The book will be used to find appropriate puzzles for the students.
