Goal
The goal of this activity is to engage students in a STEM problem solving activity. The activity results in the movement of an item built by students.
What will be done with my students
Students will work with partners/groups to build with a K'Nex kit. The kits have 9 different builds and 18 experiments. Students will be working with hydraulics and pneumatics. These aspects are generally overlooked in classroom experiments and activities.
Benefits to my students
Students will be engaged in group, tactile learning. The benefits are multiple through teamwork, problem-solving, and building on experience with more challenging activities within the kid.
Describe the Students
My two classrooms are comprised with a variety of scholars. They range from ESE, ELL, Gifted, ASD, special needs, and retained and completing their second year in 3rd grade.

Budget covers enough kits for students to work with partners and instructor to model if necessary.
