Goal
I have a huge discrepancy between my students in their reading abilities. I have students that are going to be reading at a pre-primer level and also some students that will be reading at a fifth grade level. I feel that in order for my students to succeed in reading, they should be allowed unlimited access to the books at their level. Currently, I have books that are mostly at the third grade level. I would like to request that I have an abundance of books that are pre-K through fifth grade in order to best fit the needs of all of my students.
What will be done with my students
I will be grouping my students according to their ability. I feel very strongly about meeting the students where they are and then guiding them to set their goal to stretch themselves further as readers and life-long learners. I feel that I need more books to accomplish this daunting task this year. Please consider this request. My students will be required to complete a rigorous test in reading on the computer in order to pass third grade.

Benefits to my students
My students will benefit by reading books that are levelled to their accurate reading abilities.
By reading at their ability level, they will be able to stretch themselves and become successful in third grade.
Describe the Students
I have a varied mix of students. I have 8 that are severely low (three are reading at a pre-primer level--Pre-K). I have several reading at grade level. I have several that are reading above grade level (fifth grade).
I also have some student that have qualified for SLD (Specific Learning Disorders).
Budget Narrative
I am requesting approval for $800 to purchase books off of Amazon in order to best fit the needs of all of my students this year. My students have a wide range of abilities in reading from Pre-K through fifth grade.
