Goal
To engage and differentiate anatomy and physiology for all learners, but particularly visual and tactile learners.
What will be done with my students
Due to the prominent size and enhanced visibility, students will use these models for group study and or individual inquiry of the anatomy and physiology of the particular organs. Students are able to remove the parts For example, students will be able to remove the anterior wall of the heart to study the internal structures, including the entrance point of the blood, valves and be able to collaborate with their cohort the pathway of blood into and out of the heart. This can be done in small group remediation with students to close the achievement gap and or it can be done through cooperate learning with other peers. Another way the model will be used is for demonstration whole class instruction.
Benefits to my students
The prominent size of these models allows differentiation of instruction for visual and tactile learners in small groups with the teacher or peers.
Budget Narrative
Using a 3D model will help my students better understand the anatomy and physiology of the different organs other than on paper or computer.
