Goal
RE-Write Max is the new innovative white board. Through the grant, the boards would allow to students to practice their math skills and be able to display and explain to other their answers.
What will be done with my students
Through the grant students would actively reinforce B.E.S.T. Mathematical Standards, Three courses are taught:
Pre-Algebra, Algebra Honors and Geometry Honors. Students in the three courses would be given various types of questions to work out on their boogie boards and display results to the teacher and fellow students. This would also give the teacher a quick assessment of students' knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts taught in the classroom. The boards would provide students a quick way to display their solutions and to be able to discuss their thinking process of application of each problems, to their fellow classmates and the teacher.
Benefits to my students
The benefits to the students would be encourage student engagement, ensure participation of all students, accommodation different learning styles and make the learning process more enjoyable. The boards would provide an new innovative way to teach the same material.
