Goal
The goal is to purchase a Technology Lab annual subscription to Brainpop and Brainpop Jr to be used with all Sabal Palm students. The Brainpop Suite has been an invaluable educational support tool years past and I wish to continue being able to utilize this online material by purchasing a new subscription.
What will be done with my students
Brainpop and Brainpop Jr offer short educational videos on a variety of topics. There are also extension activities and pintables that go along with each video. All videos come with their own lesson and extension plan which can be used individually, small group or whole class. The Brainpop Suite offers students a different method of instruction that when used correctly is very effective as an educational vehicle which aids and supports teacher lessons.
Benefits to my students
Videos are cross-curricular & are a valuable asset to many introductory & reinforcement lessons.
There are lessons for teachers that link to the academic standards. This Brainpop Suite will help support Technology topics such as Digital Citizenship, Digital Publishing, Internet Safety, Intro to Computer Parts, Coding and Computer Programming in addition to one of our newest Collier County Public Schools initiative Entrepreneurship in 5th Grade.
