Goal
To increase students' enthusiasm for reading biographies and learning about famous people from history.
What will be done with my students
Students will read the high interest "Who was" or "Who is" biographies
Students will have an opportunity to publish a report or develop a book trailer to be shared with other students who may be interested in reading about that person. Book trailers can be connected to each title via a QR code.
Benefits to my students
These biographies are very popular. The combination of this set of books and the unique way of presenting what they have learned will create a positive and memorable learning experience for students.
This type of biography also helps students to build their sustained reading skills since they are written in a chapter book format.
Budget Narrative
This amount will allow me to purchase approximately 15 different paperback titles. These books can be used for multiple years.
