Goal
74th Street Elementary is looking to host a team of 15 girls during the 10 week after-school program. As a Tier 1 school site, the cost per girl to participate in the program is $35.00, totaling $525.00 for the season. This includes program registration fees, program materials, 5K costs, healthy snacks during practice, and much more!
What will be done with my students
Girls on the Run has fun, evidence-based programs that inspire all girls to build their confidence, kindness, and decision-making skills. Dynamic lessons instill valuable life skills including the important connection between physical and emotional health.
Benefits to my students
Students who participate in Girls on the Run will have an awesome experience learning different Social-Emotional lessons, along with getting exercise with one another. This program benefits students in more ways than just academic as it builds lifelong friendships, and memories.
Describe the Students
The students at 74th Street Elementary are very diverse. 74th Street has a large population of ESE, ESOL, and minority groups. The school’s minority student enrollment is 57%. 74th Street enrolls 69% economically disadvantaged students. All students have free and reduced breakfast and lunch provided, daily.
