Goal

To improve the music performance experience for all the students at LPE. These new electronic devices would improve the performance opportunity for the students so that they can hear the music better, and would improve sound levels for the audience (students and parents). This will also allow all of our students to hear when we have school assemblies outside. 

 

What will be done with my students

When performing our musical programs in the courtyard, the students have a difficult time hearing the music. In the past, it has been necessary to have two people stand by the speakers and turn them either toward the students when singing or turn them toward the audience when speaking is taking place. By purchasing 2 speakers this problem would be eliminated. By also having an additional wireless microphone and portable case/rack it would eliminate the need for so many wires and allow more students to be leaders and actively involved in a performance. 

 

Benefits to my students

The students will always be able to hear during their performances. This will also be true for the audience. Some students will also get the opportunity to help set up equipment for performances and learn about the technology for a performance. Some students will get the opportunity to actually work some of the equipment at a performance with some training. The students will also be able to clearly hear when we have our school pep rallies and special programs in our courtyard that are not music related. 

 

Budget Narrative

These are well priced speakers, microphone, and a case/rack. They should last for a long period of time and solve all of the present and future performance needs at LPE.
