Goal

The goal is to provide students with materials that will enhance their learning. These materials will be used for integrating STEM lessons into the classroom. Students will work together and be hands on with materials.  

 

What will be done with my students

These materials will be integrated into our curriculum permanently. Students will be provided time work on STEM projects. They will build, explore, engage, and collaborate with classmates. The materials will deepen their understanding of content and provide students with opportunities to apply content across multiple settings and subjects. These materials will provide students with real life experiences through STEM.  

 

Benefits to my students

These will benefit the second grade students by providing them with opportunities to collaborate, explore, build, and integrate. These activities provide students with opportunities to work amongst peers through formulating a plan and exporting the plan. This works on students problem solving, creative thinking, critical thinking, spital awareness, and fine motor skills.  

 

Budget Narrative

Straw Constructor Engineering Toys are plastic building blocks that have a ball and socket system. Building blocks is a set of interlocking plastic gears. Magnetic building tiles connect on sides for building. Construction building blocks 3D building items. Beblox is a click and build system for creating and building items.
