Goal

Fund the cost to take my grade 4 and grade 5 Gifted students to experience the iFLY STEM Field Trip.

What will be done with my students

An iFLY STEM field trip can offer grade 4 and grade 5 gifted students a unique opportunity to learn STEM concepts in an engaging and interactive way, while also having fun and developing important skills. The field trip can spark their interest and curiosity in STEM subjects, such as physics, engineering, and aerodynamics. The field trip can also challenge their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. They can conduct experiments and collect data, analyze the results, and draw conclusions. Students can also apply their mathematical knowledge to calculate speed, acceleration, force, and other quantities.
 

 

Benefits to my students

Students will be inspired to pursue further learning and exploration in STEM fields. They will discover real-world applications and careers related to STEM, such as aviation, aerospace, meteorology, etc. They will also access additional resources and activities to extend their learning beyond the field trip.

Students will engage in a fun and memorable learning experience. They can enjoy the thrill of flying in a safe and controlled environment, with the guidance of a certified instructor. They can also interact with other students and educators who share their passion for STEM
 

 

Budget Narrative

Bus $30 per hour x4= $120
Bus per mile $1.75 x 13 mi= $22.75

iFLY STEM Program $35 per student/chaperone x 18 students and 2 chaperones= $700
