To Spark a new level of reading engagement!
What will be done with my students
Students will be able to visit the library on Fridays to participate in Flashlight Fridays. They can choose to sit on the the floor or at a seat. They can sit or lay. Read to Self helps them build reading stamina. On Fridays, everyone gets a flash light, finds a cozy spot to read, and we turn off the lights. We read for 15-30 minutes. It such an easy and exciting task that really motivates kids to be more disciplined when reading to self.
Benefits to my students
Flashlight reading will boost reading engagement, encourages independent reading, and motivates children to read. It will also build their stamina and excite children to read.
