Goal

To purchase and plant vegetables and plants that grow on a vine, underground, and above ground. We will involve other grade levels in the care and allow older students to mentor the younger students so they can teach them what they have learned.

What will be done with my students

To introduce students to the process of germination, life cycle of the growth of plants. The byproduct of planting this garden is to allow students to gain ownership and develop responsibility over the care and growth of the plants in the garden, while beautifying our school.

Benefits to my students

Plants and vegetables will grow within 2-4 months and we will observe the growth and process of the plantings. We will observe the life cycle of a plant/vegetable.
Opportunities for students to continue and care for the plants the following year.
