Goal
We are in need of raised garden beds, soil, and seeds for our school wide garden. We would like the garden beds to be 2 feet tall and 6-8 feet in length.
What will be done with my students
Students will learn life science and work in the school garden during the school wide enrichment model which begins in January. We have the garden space along with fencing for the garden. The beds and soil will help students with growing vegetables to take home.
Benefits to my students
Students love planting vegetables and plants in the garden and learning about life science. We are also hoping to get some butterfly attracting plants so students can learn about metamorphosis with caterpillars and butterflies.
Describe the Students
We have 100% economically disadvantaged students who often are low performers with very little parent support at home. This would mean the world to our students.
