Goal
PLEASE SEE ATTACHED FOR ADDITIONAL DETAILS: provide a place (my office) that is removed from the stressors and other factors that prohibit them from constructively handling anxiety. There will be various tools and coping methods to de-escalate and to work 1-1 or in a group to help with calming and creating positive relationships.
What will be done with my students
PLEASE SEE ATTACHED FOR ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Students will use the stress balls, zen garden, soft furniture to help calm down, and to actively identify negative influences on their behavior/academic performance. Once calm, students will work on positive replacement behaviors and self-expression techniques.
Benefits to my students
PLEASE SEE ATTACHED FOR ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Students will know there is a place to go when they are stressed or dealing with anxiety and peer or adult conflict. They can utilize the tools and equipment to identify better strategies to self-regulate and to express themselves with peers - adults.
Describe the Students
Includes small group of formally identified social emotional/behavioral support students; but includes additional students not formally identified.
