Goal
To increase the understanding of marketing, sales, service, entrepreneurship, and foundational knowledge of the business world by delivering a food truck project.
What will be done with my students
The project will be introduced through a lesson that is in Everfi (software program). After their research is complete, they will create a mini food truck from a box that is much like a happy meal box. Each box is designed by each student. We would like to bring the designs to a business networking event or have an event at the school to gain feedback on their ideas from local business owners.
Benefits to my students
This program will help students discover their entrepreneurial qualities, help them research a target market, decide upon which employee qualifications are valuable in business, balance an income statement and create a marketing plan to sell a product. Students will also be able to interact with local businesspeople about their ideas. This will bring real life applications and ideas into the classroom which students can relate for their future success.
