Goal

We will be hosting quarterly celebrations, totaling four in a year, to recognize classes that achieve their i-Ready Goal. The i-Ready Goal entails maintaining an average passing rate of 80% or higher on lessons. I-Ready is an online assessment and instruction platform designed to assist teachers in guiding all students toward proficiency and growth in reading. Students work at their individual levels in various reading areas such as phonics and comprehension. At the end of each quarter, the class that meets or surpasses the 80% passing rate will have the opportunity to participate in a themed celebration. The celebration will feature a reading-aligned activity (grade level aligned) and snacks for the students to enjoy.

What will be done with my students

We will be enhancing the classroom environment with themed decorations for Safari Expedition, Camping Adventure, Starbucks "Poetry" Day, and Relaxing Pool Day. Each theme day will include a reading activity designed to suit the grade level of the students. 

 

Benefits to my students

Students will be recognized for their accomplishments in i-Ready and will have the opportunity to reinforce their reading skills through engaging review activities. 

 

Budget Narrative

The aforementioned items are intended for the room décor associated with each theme. Certain items, such as aprons and safari hats, are provided for students to use as costumes. These items will be carefully stored and used again for upcoming events and celebrations.
