Goal

As a Math and Science teacher this year, my goal is to allow the students to experience science in a fun way, along with hands on experiences outside of the classroom.

What will be done with my students

This Tampa Aquarium is such an awesome trip because it gives the students so many opportunities to touch animals, to interact with educators at the aquarium, and the overall experience of seeing something new and be amazed at the different types of animals that live in our oceans.  

 

Benefits to my students

By receiving this grant, the kindergarteners will be able to identify several animals form the ocean. They will be able to draw pictures of animals seen during the trip. I am expecting that the students will gain an understanding of how the animals live under the sea. How they are feed, how they feel. This trip will be able to allow the connections in science when sea life is discussed. To realize exactly how many different types of animals share the oceans, as well as a sense of keeping the oceans clean and safe for all animals living there. 

 

Budget Narrative

Admission ticket is $7.00 per person 7X150 =1050.00
Classroom Programs are $50.00 per class, I have 6 Kindergarten classrooms 50.00 x 6 = 300.00
T-shirts for teachers 7 teachers @10.00
