What will be done with my students
Last school year, I was fortunate to receive a grant for SLAM books for grades 3-5. The impact on my students' reading abilities was truly remarkable. At the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year, I had One level 4, One level 3, and 35 based on 3rd grade Reading PM1. By the end of their grade, I had one level 5, 7- level 4, 8- level 3, 14- level 2, and 11- Level One. Several of my level 2 students were points away from three. The majority of my Level Ones were high ones. This significant improvement is a testament to the power of quality books. However, to continue this positive trend, we need your continued support. Your contribution can make a significant difference in our students' lives

Benefits to my students
As we move into 4th grade, I am committed to continuing our journey into reading proficiently. I am eager to introduce my students to a new batch of SLAM books, popular children's literature, and classical titles from the esteemed BEST Literature list, including the timeless 'Little House on the Prairie '. Using their 4th grade PM scores as a starting point, I will track their reading growth over the school year, ensuring they maintain and exceed their progress on their 4th grade Reading PM3 in May 2025
Budget Narrative
The books are listed on Amazon which concludes the entire SSYA SLAM book list for grades 3-5, Percy Jackson, Little House on the Prairie, The Lion the With and the Wardrobe, Esperanza Rising, and Casey. The various other books include the remaining books from SSRYA and Best Literature list. It also includes popular books like Percy Jackson. Some of them are duplicate copies to share with my teaching partner.
