Investor
Thank you to the following investor for funding this grant.
Hillsborough Education Foundation - $1,656.00
Goal
To provide dress shoes, dress pants, black socks, and a band polo for students to check out during concerts.
Category
Clothing/Backpacks - T-shirts/jerseys, concert performance shirts, backpacks, duffle bags, etc.
What will be done with my students
Many students at JMS want to perform in band, but are not able to pay for extra clothes. 100% of JMS students receive free/reduced lunch, and 80% receive some form of state assistance. This grant would allow students who are disadvantaged to borrow our band uniform free of charge so that they may participate in the fullest.
Benefits to my students
I would like to purchase uniform parts in many sizes. These uniforms would belong to the band program; during concert weeks, students who are unable to purchase uniform parts for themselves can check out what they need and return it after the concert. My goal is to provide shoes, pants, belts, and our band polo for students who would not otherwise be able to purchase their uniform parts. When students look good, they feel good; when they feel good, they play good!
