Goal

To help my kindergarten practice much needed writing skills. The majority of my kindergarteners have not been to preschool, or have had any instruction on how to hold a pencil/crayon.

What will be done with my students

Students will use these writing tablets across the curriculum. Because of the ease of use, students can practice writing letters, numbers, sight words, math equations, whole group question and answers, and write quick yes or no response for me to guide instruction to move on or reteach. Students have everything they need with no messy residu. Tablets are small and compact and are perfect for my kindergarteners little hands.  

 

Benefits to my students

These writing tablets will make it faster and easier for students to get "write" to work. Whiteboards are nice, but the markers dry out, and the erasing can be messy and residue is often left depending on the brand of marker. The lids to the markers are also often lost or not put back on correctly, therefore leaving the marker useless.  

 

Budget Narrative

Teaching at a title one school this project help my kindergarteners practice much needed writing skills.
