Goal
As a Title I school with an economically disadvantaged student population of 92%, we are unable to offer the level of engagement students expect from Physical Education (PE) class. Scooters are an amazing way of getting all students involved in PE. Some students are not athletic, and are self-conscious about their weight. However, when they arrive in the hard court and see colorful scooters, they get excited and participate no matter how difficult the activity. Scooters will provide fun ways for all my students to meet their PE goals.
Category
Physical Education Equipment - Rackets, bats, balls, nets, jump ropes, etc.
What will be done with my students
Scooters allow students to have a great deal of fun while they work on their fitness goals. We will have relay races where students will work on their lower body strength and endurance. Students will play scooter basketball and soccer games as well as different types of tag games. These games are typically fast paced activities that require teamwork to be successful. The new scooters will encourage all my students to be physically active during PE Class.
Benefits to my students
There are many benefits of using scooters. Students increase their physical activity while developing their lower and upper body strength. In addition, scooter play helps develop balance, coordination, and agility. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase my students fitness level, you will also motivate them to reduce childhood obesity.
