Thank you to the following investor for funding this grant.
A Champion For Learning - $200.00
Goal
My K-5 students love making shapes out of clay. Some of their most careful work in art class so far has been when I've given them clay to use. With this grant, I aim to provide many more opportunities throughout the school year for my young students to form clay into shapes to air-dry and then take home.
Category
School supplies - Markers, paints, paper, crayons, clay, pencils, sharpies, modeling dough, etc.
What will be done with my students
My students will have many more opportunities to work with clay throughout the school year once I'm able to buy more clay for the classroom. I'm hoping to give students the opportunity to make a variety of shapes, including small objects as well as plant and animal life. With such wide array of colors, students will also have the chance to mix colors and learn about color theory via their use of clay.
Benefits to my students
Students will learn about three-dimensional art, develop their fine motor skills, learn about color, and have a lot of fun exploring their creativity via mess-free, air-drying clay.
Budget Narrative
This 62-pack of clay from Amazon is a cost-efficient means of providing many opportunities for my students to learn about and experiment with creating 3D art.
