Goal
The goal of this project is to engage students in problem solving and design challenges that foster critical thinking skills throughs hands on learning. This project will also reinforce STEM concepts in a creative and engaging fashion.

What will be done with my students
Students will encounter real world challenges and learn to devise solutions while working in a group setting where they will need to further their communication skills. This project allows for students to think outside the box as they see abstract concepts in action. Engaging in challenging work promotes resiliency, teaching students the importance of persistence in education. Lastly, students will develop fine motor skills and spatial awareness which are valuable skills in the classroom.
Benefits to my students
STEM Concept Mastery - This project emphasizes STEM learning. Students' key terms vocabulary test will have an increase of 10% evidenced by pre and posttest.
Enhance Problem Solving Skills - I expect my students to develop critical thinking skills as they build models and solve challenges.
Improved Collaboration - This project will encourage teamwork, communication, and sharing of ideas.
Confidence Building - Completing projects and solving problems will give students a sense of accomplishment.
Budget Narrative
In classroom field trip at the cost of $5 per child. This will impact all third-grade students.
