Goal
The students will have the opportunity to sit together when reading in whole group but also have enough space to spread out.

Class Furniture - Carpets, choral risers, transitional seating/desks, etc.
What will be done with my students
The students will have a safe space to go for whole group reading and also can use flexible seating when doing independent work. Students can also be able to play reading games on the carpet.
Benefits to my students
The learning atmosphere will be more homely and also will also increase togetherness. The students will have a better opportunity to work together in groups and have a designated area to sit. This will also create a better system for turn and talk. With the color coding of the rug the students will be able to group up quicker when I say "all blue smile faces together" this will decrease loss of instructional time.
