Goal

The goal of this project is to create a safe space for students within the classroom that provides them with resources, materials, and skills that help them to self-reflection on their emotions and actions.

What will be done with my students

Students have a difficult time regulating their emotions. A calm down corner would provide a safe space for students where they can reflect on their emotions and actions.  

 

Benefits to my students

Students will have a safe space in the classroom to go when they are dealing with big emotions. This area will provide students with resources that help to teach them self -reflection skills and emotion management skills.  

 

Budget Narrative

Each item is researched and will provide students with effective skills to help with self-regulation of emotions. The money would go towards the cost of the items in order to build this safe space within the classroom.
