Goal
My goal is to inspire a love of social studies through cross curricular integration.
What will be done with my students
The students will participate in literature circles and read novels that are related to history and relevant to our curriculum. The novels would help with teaching ELA standards and social studies standards at the same time. The students will also be exposed to more nonfiction reading.
Benefits to my students
The benefit would be student learning gains and having a better understanding of historical events through collaboration.
