Goal

We would like to use this recorder to make practice tracks in class, assist with assessments, listen to rehearsals, and hopefully make a demo CD of our a cappella group, the "Tre-bolts" 

 

What will be done with my students

I will be using this product at least 3 times a week all year long. During class I will have students use microphones that I already have and plug them into this recorder. Then when we do our vocal tests, I can record 8 at one time and assess later instead of only listening to 1 at a time. This will reduce the amount of time I spend in class on assessments tremendously. My largest class is 55, which typically takes me 2 days to assess in class. With this unit, I can complete all assessments in less than 20 minutes rather than 100.  

 

Benefits to my students

This will allow students to get more direct feedback from their singing tests. Rather than just hearing what I have to say, they can also hear themselves and make stronger connections. This will also assist with creating practice tracks quickly and efficiently. A portable unit that can also benefit the guitar, piano, orchestra, and band programs.
