Goal

If provided with the funds to purchase Kindles for my third grade STEM classroom, we will be able to incorporate reading and technology across the curriculum. 

 

What will be done with my students

Students will be able to use the tablets to assist them in research based projects, which in turn, will incorporate technology more readily within our STEM classroom. The students will have a wider variety of on-level books to read through the tablet Library. Books will be able to be "shared" amongst each tablet, allowing students to read the same book at the same time - creating high level literacy circles. 

 

Benefits to my students

Technology in the classroom is becoming more and more predominant. By integrating technology into the classroom, we are changing the way we to teach to meet students where they are. We are also providing students with the tools that will help them become more versatile in the future.  

 

Budget Narrative

I have budgeted to purchase 8 Android Tablets. Any amount will be more beneficial than what we have within our classroom now. The more tablets we are able to purchase, the bigger the opportunity for students to be part of the Literacy Group at the same time as others.
