Goal

Our goal is to acquire 30 headsets with microphones for use in an After School Program that we wish to implement at our school for our Non-English and Limited English speaking students. 

 

What will be done with my students

The headsets would be used to assist students to use the Rosetta Stone Program in our computer lab classroom in a twice a week after school program led by certified teachers. The teachers will give an orientation on how to use the program, assist the students with individual needs as they occur, monitor the students' progress by running reports, and then tutor the students based on their individual needs.  

 

Benefits to my students

Over 60 students and 20 teachers will benefit from this request. We must have the headsets with microphones for the program to be properly implemented. This program, when properly implemented, accelerates the learning of a new language in all language areas: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Use of this program, also boosts confidence in the students to learn the new language, which in turn, helps them to complete and comprehend their classroom assignments and tests which benefits both the students and the teachers.
