Goal

My goals is for students to create art about the cultural topics we are studying.

What will be done with my students

My students will be able to select their art medium and create paintings, sculptures, drawings and more! Students will host a gallery walk to discuss the perspectives of their peers. Students will study influential Deaf artists and create their own renditions of pieces they admire.

After the students have created items, we will host a gallery walk with their art on display.

Benefits to my students

My students will learn about culture, society, and create something to share! Students will study different cultural norms, the struggles in the Deaf community, and learn how to influence society to be more openminded and accepting of diversity.

My students are all of the above.

Some students are high achieving honors students while others are struggling with life skills. I have ESE students learning alongside traditional learners.
