Goal

To increase reading comprehension for Grades 3-5

What will be done with my students

Verbalizing and Visualizing is a reading program that focuses on reading comprehension for students that struggle with this key component of the reading process.

Benefits to my students

Allows them to read text that is placed in front of them and use their minds to visually comprehend the content they are reading without relying on pictures.

Describe the Students

Students vary with their challenges; however, these students focus on reading comprehension as they approach middle school. Grades 3-5 with learning disabilities.

Budget Narrative

The items would allow students now and in the future the opportunity to focus on key reading components and track their progress over the school year. Also, having a printer would allow us teachers to print text that students can read in front of them without the use of screens or technology.
