Goal
Deliver instruction in a way that should engage today’s student. I would like to immerse the student in the environment we are currently learning about in the classroom.
What will be done with my students
I would like to take my students on three to four field trips this school year. Dakin Dairy Farm, Tampa Bay Watch, and Mote Marine Laboratory.
Benefits to my students
At the dairy farm the students will learn how natural products are produced by healthy, grass-fed cows that are growth-hormone free. Milk produced by well-fed cows will produce the most nutritious milk. To give us milk the way nature intended.
At Tampa Bay Watch where the students will have an Estuary EDventures’ field trip. Looking at the necessity of estuaries in our bay waters for the health of the marine life and the salt waterways all along the coastline of the United States.
At Mote Marine Laboratory the focal point of the center will be an interactive touch pool exhibit where guests will literally reach into the water and get in touch with local marine life and students will leave with a new appreciation of mangroves, seagrass beds and the living world directly beneath the City Pier.
Describe the Students
Out of my 48 students, 26 of them are 504 or of ESE designation.
Most of my other students are of average or above average performers.
Budget Narrative
For tickets, transportation, and chaperone.
