Goal
Students will learn about the impact of the Florida Fishery on the economy and environment, while learning skills to get them enjoying the outdoors and exploring careers in fishing, wildlife and conservation.
What will be done with my students
Students will study the wonderful things that make Florida a special state! We will learn how to tie various fishing knots, throw cast nets, participate in beach clean ups, listen to guest speakers and learn how to build our own fishing poles!
Benefits to my students
Students will learn new skills to help them enjoy fishing, while learning to appreciate and conserve one of Florida's most important resources. They may even decide to make a career out of it!
Describe the Students
Our students vary in school performance, racial and economic backgrounds.
