Goal

- Increase student understanding of the HAWK guidelines and expectations.

- Decrease student referrals and Administrative Consequences

-Increase positive recognition, restorative practices and HAWK pride

Staff will encourage students to follow those expectations by rewarding students who display any of the HAWKS guidelines with points. These point are saved by students and can be traded in for a desired item on our electronic system.

Benefits to my students

When students are able to be instantly rewarded for demonstrating positive behavior, the likelihood of them repeating the positive behavior increases! Students are able to see an immediate positive consequence for following the school expectations and increases positive interactions with peers and Staff, increases academic engagement and improves overall school morale.

Describe the Students

Seminole Middle School has a currently enrollment of 746 students and is a We are a 6-8 campus with 59% of our population are White, 26% of our students are Black. 24% of our population are Students with Disabilities. Overall, we have 39% of our students that are Economically Disadvantaged.

Budget Narrative

The items would be placed in the HAWK store with students would be able to purchase utilizing their HAWK points. The goal is to provide high motivating items that interest students to continue to earn and utilize the program.
