Goal
It is essential for production/tech crews for a play or musical production to have clear, consistent communication to avoid mistakes or delays. This ability will hopefully allow our students to provide a more professional production for our student body and local patrons.
What will be done with my students
Our tech and stage crew members will use these hands-free, wireless walkies to communicate effortlessly, quickly, efficiently, and effectively. Directors and stage managers will communicate with each other regarding necessities related to set and costume changes, etc.
Benefits to my students
This technology will make conversations between tech crew, stage crew, and directors faster and clearer. Having hands-free communication amongst tech booth techs, stage crew members, and directors should provide for a more seamless theatrical production which should aid in presenting a more professional end product. The higher quality the final product will yield an increased amount of audience members AND increased student interest in future theatrical productions (both as participants and attendees) at our school!
Budget Narrative
This will provide for a starter pack that includes 4 wireless, hands-free walkies. I hope to purchase at least 2 more from millage money or musical theatre account to round out the set.
