Goal
Our ultimate goal is to empower our Nassau County teacher leaders, cultivate leadership skills, and begin the school year with a clear vision.
What will be done with my students
The purpose of teacher leadership retreat is to create a separate experience that enhances positive school climate, develop collegiality, take the teacher leaders out of the building, and provide new learning experiences for a day. The retreat will be held at the Golf Club of Amelia Island and will include learning sessions which will impact all students across four campuses-Yulee Primary School, Yulee Elementary School, Yulee High School, and Wildlight Elementary School. The teacher leaders will take back what they learn to their teams and positively impact the students on each campus using the information learned during the sessions.
Benefits to my students
Students at Yulee Primary School, Yulee Elementary School, Yulee High School, and Wildlight Elementary School will benefit by the teacher leaders gaining research-based training on building resiliency, school culture, behavior management, inclusion, and trauma- informed teaching practices.
