These partnerships are based in a positive, ongoing and designed lessons to built relationships with families. Such as literacy , Math, Art and Science. Base on research has shown family- school partnerships lead to improved students outcomes, such as improved identification of their basic needs. Enhance social emotional learning development and improved attendance.
Why is parent engagement / involvement critical in a child's education?
A- Parental engagement allow parents to learn school and classroom activities and to coordinate their effort with teachers.
B-Research has found that students perform better in school if their parents are engaged in school activities.
C- Studies have also shown that students are less likely to skip school.

What will be done with my students

Students and parents will be participating in learning workshops in the areas / topics of Literacy, Math, Science and Art .
These workshops will meet twice a month in the school cafeteria. Workshops are 40 minutes long . The parents will learn take a make a take activity home.
Outcomes:
1- Communicate regularly and effectively with families.
2-Offer opportunities for families to get involved
3-Provide resources to support families at home in the area of literacy, math ,science and art.

 

 

Benefits to my students

Students whose parents stay involved in school have better attendance and behavior, get better grades, they demonstrate better social skills and adapt better to school.

These workshops can support their children learning at home by reinforcing the skills and knowledge taught in the classroom. It leads to continuously positive learning environment in school and at home.
