Goal

Our goal is to engage students with content through technology. Brainpop Jr. offers differentiation for our auditory learners. In addition, it allows students to see content in a different way. It has multiple different engagement activities such as vocabulary, quizzes, etc. The best part is it can be applied with every subject. The videos are short and to the point which is essential as classroom teachers and having limited time for subjects.

What will be done with my students

Our students will use Brainpop Jr. to research different topics such as habitats, life cycles, rocks, perimeter, maps, compare and contrast, and so many more to name just a few. The Brainpop Jr. technology platform will allow 2nd grade students to work independently, in small groups and as a whole class to deepen their understanding of content that they will learn about in the areas of science, reading, social studies and mathematics.  

 

Benefits to my students

Brainpop Jr. allows students to see content in a different way. These is amazing for students who learn differently. It also has a short quiz and other interactions to ensure students have learned the content.  

 

Budget Narrative

We are team of 5 teachers. Each teacher subscription is $275. The budget will be spent on a subscription for each teacher. This would allow us to continue to engage our students in a fun and intriguing way as we dig deep into each subject area.
