Goal
The goal is to obtain the Florida Test Prep Fast Reading Skills Workbook for Grade 2 for each Parkside Elementary 2nd grade teacher.
The workbook will provide ongoing, structured practice in reading and vocabulary, ensuring students build strong foundational skills essential for academic success. By integrating these workbooks into lessons, 2nd grade teachers aim to enhance students' reading proficiency and vocabulary, preparing them effectively for standardized tests and fostering a lifelong love for reading.

What will be done with my students
Students will get to practice reading and vocabulary skills from the Florida standards- Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking (B.E.S.T.), ensuring consistent skill development. Second grade teachers will guide students through practice passages, providing feedback and support to enhance understanding and address areas of difficulty. Students will have opportunities for independent practice, reinforcing skills learned and allowing them to apply strategies.
Benefits to my students
Students will get the benefits of being familiarized with the format and expectations of the Star Reading Tests, leading to better performance and reduced test anxiety.
Students will build confidence in their reading and vocabulary abilities, motivating them to strive for academic excellence.
